DistroPR Editorial Standards

DistroPR exists to distribute credible, high-quality company news to relevant media and audiences.

We prioritise clarity, accuracy, and genuine news value.  Content that does not meet these standards will not be published.

What Qualifies as News
We accept press releases that communicate material developments, including:
Product launches and updates
Funding announcements
Strategic partnerships
Market expansions
Company milestones

Submissions must present verifiable information with clear relevance. Promotional or opinion-led content without a defined news angle is not suitable for distribution.

Content Expectations
All submissions must meet the following standards:
Length: 500 to 1,500 words
Tone: Professional, factual, and neutral
Structure: Clear, logical, and easy to follow
Accuracy: All claims must be substantiated

Press releases should be written in third person, with first-person language limited to attributed quotes.
Each release must include:
Headline, precise and concise
Summary, a brief overview of the announcement
Body content, presenting the key information
Closing statement or quote

All releases must reference a clear location, city and country. We prioritise content that is written with journalistic discipline, not marketing language.

Formatting Requirements
Submissions must be publication-ready.
Clean paragraph spacing
No spelling or grammatical errors
No excessive formatting or unnecessary styling

DistroPR does not edit or rewrite submissions as standard. Each release must include:
A named media contact
A verifiable business email address

Links must support the story and provide context.  Promotional or irrelevant links will be removed.

Media Assets

Each submission must include:

One primary image, JPG or PNG format

Additional assets should be shared via a secure external link, such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

Logos and embedded images within the body of the release are not permitted.

Editorial Integrity
DistroPR maintains strict editorial standards. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or request revisions for any submission that:

Lacks credibility or verification
Contains misleading or exaggerated claims
Includes offensive, defamatory, or harmful material
Violates applicable laws or regulations

Where necessary, we may request supporting evidence for claims relating to partnerships, performance, or endorsements.

All submissions must originate from a verifiable source.

Grounds for Rejection
Submissions may be declined where they:
Lack a clear news angle
Read as advertising or spam
Contain poor or unclear writing
Include incomplete or unreliable contact details
Attempt to manipulate visibility through keyword stuffing

We prioritise substance over promotion.

Prohibited Content
DistroPR does not distribute content that includes:
Defamatory or harmful statements
Personal attacks or unverified allegations
Get-rich schemes or misleading financial claims
Explicit or inappropriate material
Unsubstantiated medical or health claims
False affiliations or unauthorised endorsements

Any reference to individuals, organisations, or brands must be accurate and authorised.

For submissions that require refinement, DistroPR offers editorial support to improve clarity, structure, and readiness for distribution.
